Ticonic Tales

Ticonic Tales is a community event series that celebrates and shares the history of Waterville. The October 1, 2016 event explores the history of industry in this region and the survival of a people of diverse ancestry. Our community’s economic history has contributed to a bustling and vibrant city. The tenacity and strength of Waterville’s settlers deserve recognition and respect as Waterville contem-plates and moves forward in this new era.

10:15 am — Railroads: Making Waterville Move, a presentation of Moving History with discussion following the viewing

11:30 am — Franco-Americans’ Influence on Waterville’s Economy by Bob Chenard

1:15 pmLebanese in the Life of Waterville by Dr. Eric Hooglund & Marie Deeb

Free, light refreshments will be available at the Library throughout the event.

2:30 pm - 4:00 pm — Redington Museum Open House & Tours: Discover its treasures of local history and heritage in docent led tours, or explore on your own. Hosted by the Waterville Historical Society.
