Waterville Public Library

Annual Appeal - Please Donate If Possible

A thriving public library that people love is possible because of people like you. Will you please consider donating to the Waterville Public Library today? 100% of your contributions go directly to serving people in our community.

Libraries contain more than books. They hold dreams, enable travel around the world and throughout the universe, and help people of all ages and backgrounds. A public library is one of the hearts of a community where everyone has opportunities to thrive through access to resources and lifelong learning. Since 1896, the mission of the Waterville Public Library has been to empower people and strengthen the community. Decades and generations of experiences affirm that free and open access to information transforms lives, communities, and societies.

A public library is a shared community space that brings people together daily, remaining one of the few places in society where all are welcome, every attempt is made to meet needs, and all people are treated with respect. Hundreds visit the Waterville Public Library daily, engaging in a myriad of activities, from story times for children to getting job search assistance, reading newspapers/magazines, accessing Wi-Fi, computers, tech help, learning new craft techniques, practicing conversation and writing skills, playing cards/board games, developing business plans, presentations by authors and artists, sitting in a beautiful space, and more. Tens of thousands of books circulate annually; reading fosters better health, reduces stress, improves sleep, and makes humans happier. Garden seeds, vegetables, trees, mittens, reliable information, smiling faces, kindness, joy, and so much more are reliably found at the library.

Supporters make a great library possible. If your circumstances permit, please donate to the Waterville Public Library today. Your support makes all the difference; it really does. All gifts, regardless of size, help. Donations can be made by cash, credit card, or check to the Waterville Public Library and online.

Thank you so much for your consideration and support.

You are appreciated.
