Veteran Stories
Saturday, November 14, 2015 * 12p-3p
Location: Fourth Floor, Waterville Public Library
Morgan Rielly, author of Neighborhood Heroes, and other presenters will share memories of WWII and other wars. A retired female Air Force Captain who's father is a WWII veteran will be speaking at the event; Ann will bring her father's uniform and a few other artifacts. A gentleman named Pearley LaChance will also tell his story. At the age of nine, Pearley LaChance started writing a World War II serviceman. This has led to a life long journey of note books, newspaper articles, and individual information of 1000’s of Mainer's who served in World War II. He loves to share his story and theirs. Members of the community are invited to attend and share their stories as well. Sweet and savory refreshments provided.
This event is powered by the support of the Unity Foundation and the Colby Center for the Arts & Humanities. It is free and open to the public.
